Pinewood Derby is coming February 22nd!!  Our scouts will be competing for the top prize in not only their Den, but the entire Pack.  Check back soon for the location and time of our event.  Please be sure you have a close look at our Council Rules.

Prizes will be awarded to the winner of each Den and the 1st, 2nd & 3rd place finisher in the Pack!  The top 3 finishers from each Den are invited to compete at the 1st Annual Everglades District Event on March 8th!

Pack 309 will be hosting our 1st Annual Pinewood Parents on February 22nd immediately following our Cub Scout Pinewood Derby.  This is a Pinewood Derby race for all those moms and dads out there who dream of winning it big at the Pinewood Derby!  Come race against other parents of Pack 309 and let's see who has what it takes win.  Here is the scoop...

Entry fee is $20 and parents must purchase their own BSA Pinewood Derby Car.  Check the web for a 40% coupon at Michael's good until January 25th!

BSA Derby Kit Wheels, Axles and Wood Block must be used.  All other modifications are legal, including modifications to the wheels, Axles and Wood Block, with exception of the following...

-Car weight cannot exceed 5.0 ounces

-All four wheels of the car must be touching the track

-Noses cannot be notched or cut giving an unfair advantage at the start line

-Cars must be propelled by gravity only.  No motors or propulsion systems.
